Stefan Sharkansky is the creator and principal of Personal Fund.
Previously, he founded Internet software company Prospero Systems Research, which was acquired by Quarterdeck Corporation. Sharkansky developed and taught the course “UNIX Network Programming” for University of California Extension. He has consulted for numerous clients, including Milliman, E-Trade, AdvisorTech, and Advisor Partners. Sharkansky has a BA in Mathematics degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and MS and PhD in Statistics from the University of Washington.
Sharkansky lives in the Seattle area with his wife, son and dog. He enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking, reading history and classic literature and writing non-fiction. Fun fact: Sharkansky was a contestant on Jeopardy!, winning a trip to St. Thomas.
